My approach is grounded in curiosity, thoughtful reflection, and practical change. I believe therapy should offer both support and honesty—a place to better understand yourself, strengthen emotional safety, and make meaningful changes in how you communicate, connect, and relate.
I’m a Colorado native, born and raised, and now based in Glenwood Springs. I offer secure telehealth therapy throughout Colorado, with a focus on serving the Western Slope.
My clinical background is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, complemented by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I draw from these approaches to help you develop deeper insight, make practical changes, and understand the patterns shaping your relationships and emotional life.
MY APPROACH
My work with couples draws from three research-informed approaches:
The Gottman Method
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Relational Life Therapy (RLT)Together, these approaches help us understand the patterns shaping your relationship and the needs beneath them. Our work goes beyond communication to build greater emotional safety, connection, and lasting change.
MY PROCESS
Initial Couples Session: Understanding Your Relationship
We begin by exploring what’s bringing you in and how each partner experiences the relationship. Together, we identify the patterns shaping conflict, distance, and emotional needs.
Individual Sessions: Deepening Insight
I then meet with each partner individually to understand personal history, emotional patterns, and relationship expectations—adding depth to our understanding of the relationship as a whole.
Feedback & Insight Session: Making Sense of the Patterns
We return to a joint session to make sense of the patterns between you—what keeps repeating, what each partner needs, and how you affect one another. The goal is clarity, not blame.
Collaborative Goals & Treatment Planning
Together, we identify what you want to change—whether that's communication, trust, conflict, connection, or accountability—and create a focused plan for our work together.
MAKING THE CHANGES LAST
Ongoing maintenance sessions focus on practicing new ways of relating in real time—
interrupting negative cycles, responding to each other with greater understanding, strengthening repair, and deepening connection.
The goal is lasting change in how you experience your relationship and show up for each other.
