Couples Therapy Intensives

for Relationships in Crisis

Two-Day Online Couples Therapy Intensives in Colorado

Perhaps trust has been shattered, a recent revelation has turned your world upside down, the same painful conflicts have pushed you to a breaking point, or you've grown so far apart that you're no longer sure how to find your way back to each other.

You may be wondering whether the damage can be repaired, whether your partner is still willing to fight for the relationship, or whether staying together is even possible. When so much feels at stake, traditional weekly therapy—even with extended sessions—may simply not offer the depth, momentum, or focused attention that a crisis of this magnitude demands. You need more than incremental progress. You need the time and space to confront what's happening in your relationship and begin making meaningful headway when it matters most.

My two-day couples therapy intensives are designed for couples who know something needs to change—and don't want to spend months trying to get there one session at a time.

Over two dedicated days, we'll move beyond the surface of recurring arguments and unresolved pain to confront the issues threatening your relationship. With focused, uninterrupted time together, we'll work to uncover what's keeping you stuck, address difficult truths, rebuild understanding, and determine what it will take to move forward.

When the future of your relationship is at stake, you deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach. This intensive is tailored to your unique challenges, needs, and goals—providing dedicated, personalized care to confront what matters most and give your relationship a meaningful opportunity for change.

What to Expect From a Two-Day Couples Therapy Intensive

Before Your Intensive: An Initial Consultation

Before we begin, we'll meet for a 55-minute initial consultation to discuss what's happening in your relationship, what has brought you to this point, and what each of you hopes to gain from the experience. This conversation also allows us to determine whether a two-day intensive is the right fit and identify the issues that need the most attention. With this foundation, we can approach our time together with intention and structure.

Over two consecutive days, we'll dedicate approximately six hours each day to an immersive, highly personalized therapeutic experience. We'll explore your individual histories, uncover the deeper dynamics driving your relationship crisis, confront difficult truths, and engage in focused, meaningful work to address what's threatening your relationship and determine a path forward.

Day Two: Finding a Path Forward

Day Two focuses on actively working through the issues identified during our first day. Through guided conversations and targeted therapeutic exercises, we'll address unresolved hurts, process difficult emotions, practice healthier ways of communicating, and develop strategies for managing conflict and rebuilding trust. We'll also clarify what each partner needs to feel heard, understood, and emotionally secure in the relationship.

We'll conclude by identifying specific changes each partner can begin making, establishing realistic goals, and developing a plan for moving forward—whether that means working toward reconciliation or gaining clarity about the future of your relationship.

Day One: Understanding What's Happening

Through individual and joint sessions, I'll gather each partner's relationship history, explore significant events and unresolved hurts, and assess how you communicate, respond to conflict, and experience emotional connection. Together, we'll identify recurring interaction patterns, examine the emotions and needs underlying them, and begin working through the issues that have brought your relationship to a crisis point.

After Your Intensive: Maintaining Momentum

Approximately two weeks after your intensive, we'll meet for an included follow-up session to assess how things have been going and review the changes you've begun making. We'll discuss what's working, address any difficulties you've encountered, and refine the communication strategies and goals established during the intensive.

We'll also identify areas that may need continued attention and determine whether additional therapeutic support would be beneficial. The goal is to help you translate the work of the intensive into lasting changes in your day-to-day relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions About Couples Therapy Intensives

Can our relationship be saved, even if things feel beyond repair?

When your relationship is in crisis, it can be difficult to imagine how things could get better. You may have lost trust, grown deeply disconnected, or reached a point where neither of you knows how to move forward. Whether your relationship can be repaired depends on what's happened, the dynamics between you, and each partner's willingness and ability to engage in the work. A couples therapy intensive creates dedicated and personalized time to understand what's brought you here, address the issues threatening your relationship, and explore what's possible. While no therapist can guarantee a particular outcome, meaningful change may be possible even when things feel hopeless.

Can two days really make a difference in our relationship?

Two days won't undo years of hurt or guarantee that every issue will be resolved. But dedicated, focused time can create opportunities for progress that are difficult to achieve in traditional weekly sessions. Rather than spreading conversations across weeks or months, an intensive allows us to explore recurring patterns, address difficult issues in greater depth, and begin practicing new ways of relating to one another. You'll have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of your relationship and leave with greater clarity about what needs to happen next.

What if one of us wants to save the relationship more than the other?

It's not uncommon for partners to come to therapy with different levels of hope, willingness, or certainty about the future. One of you may be determined to repair the relationship while the other feels hurt, disconnected, or unsure whether things can change. An intensive provides space to understand each partner's perspective, explore what's contributing to the disconnection, and have honest conversations about what each of you needs. You don't have to arrive feeling the same way, but meaningful progress requires both partners to be willing to participate honestly in the process.

How is a couples therapy intensive different from weekly therapy?

Traditional couples therapy offers valuable support over time, but a 50- to 90-minute session can feel limiting when you're facing a major relationship crisis. An intensive provides extended, focused time to explore difficult issues without having to pause just as you're getting to the heart of them. Over two consecutive days, we'll work to understand recurring patterns, address unresolved hurt, and practice new ways of communicating. Rather than replacing the need for ongoing work, an intensive offers a concentrated opportunity to make meaningful progress and gain clarity about what comes next.

Can a couples therapy intensive help after infidelity?

Discovering an affair or another significant betrayal can leave your relationship feeling shattered. You may be struggling with unanswered questions, overwhelming emotions, and uncertainty about whether trust can ever be rebuilt. An intensive offers dedicated time to begin addressing the impact of the betrayal, explore what each partner needs, and understand what rebuilding trust would require. Healing takes time, and an intensive cannot erase what happened, but it can provide a focused starting point for deciding how to move forward.

What happens after the intensive?

The intensive is a starting point for meaningful change, not a promise that every issue will be resolved in two days. You'll have a clearer understanding of the patterns affecting your relationship and what needs to happen next. Your package includes a follow-up session approximately two weeks later to revisit your progress, work through challenges, and identify next steps. Depending on your needs, you may also benefit from ongoing couples therapy to continue building on the work you've started.

Your Relationship Doesn't Have to Stay Here

You may not know whether your relationship can be repaired, or what moving forward will look like. But you don't have to keep repeating the same painful patterns without understanding how to change them.

If you're ready to give your relationship focused attention and explore what's possible, a two-day couples therapy intensive may be the next step.
